Outlook Introduction The College of Notre Dame of Maryland utilizes Microsoft Exchange as its messaging system. This system allows for more effective communication among students, faculty, staff, and anyone else on campus or anyone connected to the Internet.
Logging in on CND's campus: You have been assigned a Novell account giving you the ability to log on to the computers in the labs. This network login provides access to all available programs and printers. Visit the Computer Labs section of this site to view the Hours and the Policies.
Accessing E-mail: Your e-mail account allows you to send and receive e-mail from any computer with Internet access. Microsoft's Outlook Web Access is used to accomplish these tasks. For detailed information, refer to the Outlook Web Access Brochure that was given out in your mailbox, or go to the Student Email FAQ page on this site. Please pay close attention to the Required Tasks section of the brochure. There is a limited amount of space for storing messages, so old messages must be deleted or moved on a regular basis. All student accounts are alloted 15 megabytes of server space. When 8 megabytes of this space is used, you will receive daily warning messages. If you reach 12 megabytes, you will not be able to send messages, and if you reach 15 megabytes you will not be able to receive messages. If you have any questions regarding your network login or the messaging system, please review this student web site, contact the Information Systems Help Desk.
